A more-than-fair view, a sundial, sidewalks that date to the early 1900s, a stepping stone into family sections, and many French (surname) gravestones make this an interesting stop. William J. French deeded the tract of land for the cemetery in 1879.

In Lot 37, Benjamin and Mary White are buried. Benjamin was "killed by a band of six Cheyenne Indians at his home near Concordia on August 13, 1868". His daughter Sarah White (buried in West Summit Cemetery) was taken by the Cheyenne but recaptured seven months later by Lt. Colonel Custer and the 7th U.S. Cavalry.
