Butterfield Overland Despatch Wagon Ruts

Inside the cemetery, signage leads you to the ruts, which are west of Indian Hill Cemetery and enclosed by chain-link ropes. The ruts are best viewed from inside the cemetery. Sharing a segment of the Smoky Hill Trail, the Butterfield Overland Despatch operated a relay station along Chapman Creek. (NRHP)
