An old and weathered Federal Aid Project marker stands along Old U.S. 40 near Logan and 4th. With the increased economic impact of automobiles after WWI, the Federal Aid Highway Project of 1921 was enacted to provide 50-50 matching funds for states to construct and improve roads.
