Kingman County Museum

Kingman, KS | Kingman County

The museum is at home in the 1888 former city hall and fire station, a red-brick and limestone building with a quirky feature, the splendid 80-foot tall tower you see was built back in the day as a cotton-hose drying tower for the fire station. It is the only remaining one in the state. Museum exhibits feature Kingman County natives aviator Clyde Cessna and Major League baseball player Don Lock, plus the exciting adventures of Cannonball Green and the Cannonball Stage Line. (NRHP)
