HISTORIC WATER TOWER

Florence Water Tower

Florence, KS | Marion County

The 1888 water tower represents the first waterworks system in the community. Its water supply comes from Crystal Spring, one of the largest artesian wells in Kansas. The water in this unique tower is 99.967 percent pure, a fact proudly proclaimed on the tall cylindrical structure. (NRHP)
