Pappy Litch Park

Galena, KS | Cherokee County

Named for a beloved local historian, the park features a gazebo, old city jail and a granite monument honoring the mining history of Galena and the Will Rogers Highway (Route 66). Newer additions include a mural and Kansas Route 66 Historic Byway interpretive signs. A federal weigh station that inspected commercial vehicles on Route 66 once stood on this spot.
