HISTORIC HOME

Schermerhorn House

Galena, KS | Cherokee County

The 1895 two-story Queen Anne home was originally the residence of prominent businessman Edgar Backus Schermerhorn, who donated the land for the park bearing his name. The house appears to have fallen on hard times, but it is still an impressive sight. (NRHP)
