COURTHOUSE

Anderson County Courthouse

Garnett, KS | Anderson County

Revered architect George Washburn designed this majestic three-story red-brick Classic Romanesque structure dedicated in 1902. The exterior and interior both have retained the historic ambience. Lady Justice stands above the front entrance on the west side, and a Statue of Liberty replica, donated by the local Boy Scout troop in 1950, stands on the northwest lawn. (NRHP)
