Timken Hill Bar & Grill

K-96 and Main. A full parking lot attests to the continued popularity of this eatery that opened in 1947. That's when Al Holopirek built the red building as a beer joint, and his brother Ernie built the gas and service station next door. Owners have changed over the years, but in 2008 Paul and Linda Hampton and their sons Marty and Zack reopened the bar and grill and it's been hoppin' ever since. Friday nights are burger nights, with bun-busting big burgers and special toppings. On Saturdays the ribeye and the Explorer Way chicken-fried steak with pan gravy pack the house. The food is fantastic and the view is vast at Timken Hill. Friday 5-9 p.m.; Saturday 11 a.m.-2 p.m. and 5-9 p.m.
