HISTORIC JAIL

Yates Center Stone Jail

Yates Center, KS | Woodson County

If you poke around the 100 block of E. Butler, you'll find a pretty nifty stone jail built in 1899. One of the desperadoes who broke out tried to steal a man's horse and wagon. He didn't get far before he was gunned down by the law.
