Climb the stairs and step up to the top of the World’s Largest Belt Buckle for a view that’s big on bragging rights and even bigger on photo ops. At nearly 20 feet wide and almost 14 feet tall, this isn’t just a statement piece — it’s a colossal one.
Designed by Jason Lahr of Abilene, the buckle is packed with hometown pride. Look closely and you’ll spot iconic Abilene symbols woven into the design: Dwight Eisenhower, Wild Bill Hickok, the Abilene & Smoky Valley Railroad, the historic Seelye Mansion, a C.W. Parker carousel horse, a C.L. Brown telephone, a racing greyhound, and a Chisholm Trail longhorn. The story of Abilene shines bright with some inlaid blue quartz to really make it dazzle.
It’s history, art, and a whole lot of Western swagger — all rolled into one larger-than-life buckle.
