William Fitzgerald is credited with building 85 percent of Waterville's homes before 1935, including the 1895 Samuel Powell House (NRHP) at 108 W. Commercial. The three Victorian houses in the 200 block of E. Hazelwood were built for early bankers between the late 1880s and 1903 and were dubbed Banker's Row.
