HISTORIC CHURCH

Timmons Chapel

Pittsburg, KS | Crawford County

This all-faiths chapel built in the Country English Gothic style is peaceful and picturesque, tucked among trees on a spot that overlooks the university lake. The charming stone building is accented with a multicolor slate roof and a three-bell spire topped with a cross. Local philanthropist Bess Timmons funded the building of this church in 1966. Located on the Pittsburg State University campus.
