CURIOSITY

Sword in the Stone

Sterling, KS | Rice County

This mysterious gift of a stone and sword appeared in front of Cooper Hall on the morning of December 24, 2012. The school's mascot name, "SC Warriors," is etched on the side of the stone, and a gleaming sword protrudes from the top, in imitation of the legendary King Arthur fable. The "gift" remains where it was first left, and to this day no one knows by whom.
