STAN HERD MURAL

Stan Herd Outdoor Mural

Wilmore, KS | Comanche County

Stan's depiction of the coin toss that decided the town's name dresses up the south base of the grain elevator. Local cattlemen and ranchers Thomas Jackson Wilmore and C.C. Pepperd participated in a coin toss to determine whose name would be given to the town. You know who won, since you aren't standing in Pepperd, Kansas, to view the mural.
