Though a 1984 building in Courthouse Plaza houses county offices, this 1907 four-story limestone and concrete courthouse is where five district courtrooms are located. This architectural standout was designed by J.C. Holland and Company of Topeka and Frank C. Squires of Topeka. Main features are the large stone arch entrance and the tall clock tower with parapets and a steep roof. (NRHP)
