Restoration at Alma City Cemetery

Alma, KS | Wabaunsee County

Countless hours went into researching the names of the 81 men, women, and children buried in the Alma City Cemetery Potter's Field between 1893 and 1962. Many were African American, some formerly enslaved. Their names now appear on a granite monument, with a native stone wall behind it creating a fitting place for remembrance.
