
In an effort to preserve area history, Fred Magley and his wife, Marsha, began creating disk-blade markers in the 1980s. The Magleys' 400 informative disks are placed throughout the county (and a few out-of-county) to mark important historic sites, one-room schoolhouses, cemeteries, and post offices.
