A drive by this mammoth 1903 Gothic style motherhouse is indeed awe inspiring. Although their numbers are dwindling since arriving in Concordia in 1884, the Sisters of St. Joseph still use the facility as a retirement home. Tours are offered of portions of the motherhouse, including of the chapel, which features impressive stained-glass windows and hand-carved statuary. Donation welcome. Call ahead. (NRHP)
