National Hot Rod Association Drag Strip

Great Bend, KS | Barton County

Also known as the Sunflower Rod and Custom Association. From U.S. 281, 5 ¾ miles west on 10th, then ¼ mile south on G. On the site of the WWII bomber training field, this dragstrip held the first (1955) NHRA drag racing competition. Races are still held here today. (RHKP)
