Naming of Ulysses

Ulysses, KS | Grant County

The city (Ulysses) and the county (Grant) were named for General and President Ulysses S. Grant, and the area is renowned for its annual Grant County Home Products Dinner in September. As you drive this region you'll notice huge acreages of irrigated cropland and some of the largest cattle feedlots in Kansas.
