Moundridge Museum

Moundridge, KS | McPherson County

For many years the Cole House Museum was the only attraction showcased by the Moundridge Historical Association. The 1875 home of Thornton and Drusilla Cole is one-of-a-kind in that it is outfitted with original furnishings, quilts, and textiles. To this site, dedicated and ambitious volunteers have now added the Heritage Museum, an agricultural building, blacksmith shop, and depot. Along with displays portraying town history, the Heritage Museum features the fascinating story of Civilian Public Service, an alternative to military service for conscientious objectors.
