The cemetery entrances, chapel, and privy are 1939 WPA projects. A Civil War monument stands at the center of the cemetery, and the Koester family plot is to the south and a bit east of this monument, across two driveways. The Koester plot is a crowded grouping of varied gravestones, including a concrete tub. The Helverings, related to the Koesters, are buried to the north of the Koester plot.
