Luciano Mottola, originally from northern Tuscany, met tourist Nancy Farber and followed her back to America. They married, settled in Nancy's hometown, Mulvane, and opened this destination restaurant in 2005. The genial and elegant chef is passionate about his cuisine. Favorites include Pasta Con Salsiccia (Italian sausage, fresh carrots, spring onions, tomatoes, real cream, and parmesan blended with fettuccine pasta) and an old family recipe, Mottola Sugo di Carne, prepared with a meat sauce that cooks for four hours. Also popular are the salads served in crunchy parmesan cheese bowls. Reservations highly encouraged.
