Lindsborg Post Office Mural

Lindsborg, KS | McPherson County

Smoky River is the title of this 1938 Section artwork by famous Lindsborg artist Birger Sandzen. The landscape scene depicts the tree-lined Smoky Hill River and, in the background, two farms tucked into green fields under a sky of billowy clouds. This Section Art Mural is one of 22 in Kansas post offices that comprise the 8 Wonders of Kansas Art finalist entry. (NRHP)
