HISTORY

Limestone Kiln

Beattie, KS | Marshall County

Nearly the size of a small room and visible from the county road, the kiln stands on the south side of Ironstone, just west of 21. Constructed in the 1860s by James FitzGerald, the kiln produced mortar used in constructing area stone buildings.
