Library Art

Goodland, KS | Sherman County

In front of the public library the Greg Todd bronze, "More than Words," depicts a mother reading to her children. Displayed inside the library is a copy of Jean Francois Millet's "The Gleaners," painted by an unidentified Polish count residing in Kansas. Also of interest is a striking 1911 stained-glass window of a steam engine. The image was created in memory of a young railroad brakeman who was killed on the job.
