Established in 1886, this national cemetery has interments of more than 40,000 veterans, from the Indian Wars to the present, and their eligible dependents. Six Medal of Honor recipients are buried here. A memorial spire overlooks the Missouri River Valley from the highest point of this awe-inspiring cemetery.
