Land Rush Statue

Kiowa was one of five official Kansas starting points for the Cherokee Strip Land Rush of 1893. To honor that heritage and his grandfather, James W. Polson, Cecil Tucker and his wife, Verna, have donated to the town this bronze sculpture of a horse and rider, and a woman handing claim stakes to the rider.
