A giant bridge, suspended in a majestic bow-and-arrow-inspired design, is your pathway to the plaza. Here artist Blackbear Bosin's 44-foot, five-ton colossal steel statue, Keeper of the Plains, rises skyward on a 30-foot promontory above the confluence of the Little Arkansas and Arkansas Rivers. Each evening the Ring of Fire lights at the base of the statue and burns for 15 minutes. Nearby, a concrete wall shares the Plains Indian story through replica artifacts and informational plaques. 8 Wonders of Kansas Art
