The Federal Emergency Administration of Public Works completed this brick and limestone Modern Eclecticism courthouse in 1939. Near the entrance a group of six limestone benches contain etched designs of cattle, wheat, corn, sunflowers, an oil well, and a covered wagon, each symbolizing the history and economy of this county. Beside the benches a large upright limestone slab depicts a map of the county and townships.
