Pioneer life and Mennonite migration from Russia and Prussia are interpreted in an award-winning exhibit comprising quotations, photos, and historic artifacts. An official Save America's Treasures project, an exhibit of Mennonite immigrant furniture from the Vistula Delta of present Poland is an outstanding display. A late 1800s farmstead presents seasonal heritage vegetable and flower gardens, and a tallgrass prairie reconstruction accents the entrance of this exemplary museum.
