Rich in history are the works of Scott City native and world-renowned artist Jerry Thomas, whose paintings are exhibited in a gallery attached to the El Quartelejo Museum. His pain-staking research and attention to detail bring military history, wildlife, and the Old West to life in vivid color and context. Jerry's personal collection of American Indian, western, and military artifacts, also on display in the gallery, offer a fascinating view into the past and are often depicted in his paintings.
