International Pancake Day Hall of Fame

Liberal, KS | Seward County

Every Shrove Tuesday since 1950 the women of Liberal have competed with the women of Olney, England, in a pancake-flipping race. The tradition started in Olney in 1445. Liberal's Hall of Fame features an exhibit about the origins of the England-Kansas competition and generally documents the race over the years. Call ahead.
