HorseThief Reservoir

Jetmore, KS | Hodgeman County

Water is important, and scarce, in western Kansas and conserving it is an everyday fact of life. Enjoying this vital element for recreation is a much appreciated bonus. Part of the largest watershed district in the United States, this reservoir was constructed between 2009 and 2015. It offers 42 campsites with electricity and water, primitive sites, and a bathhouse. Yurts, canoes, and stand-up paddleboards are available to rent, and recreational amenities include hiking, biking, and equestrian trails; 3D archery; disc golf; mud volleyball; basketball; and a small climbing wall. You may also bring your jet skis, sailboats, and ski boats. Entrance charge. Cabins available, reservations required.
