Many walking and biking trails meander throughout Lawrence in its environs. The 10-mile Riverfront Park Trail runs along the top of the Kansas River levee. You can most easily access it at N. 2nd and Elm. The Kaw River Trail is a National Recreation Trail and extends 4 miles north from the U.S. 24/40/59 intersection.
