Hays Historic Marker & Lady Liberty

North of the library, a marker relates the importance of the Walker Army Airfield. This WWII base was operated from 1942 to 1946. A Statue of Liberty replica erected in 1950 by the Boy Scouts stands just north of the airfield sign.
