Harold Spatz

A veterans memorial in this pocket park recognizes Harold "Skinny" Spatz, whose name is listed on a Flint Hills stone monument along with other local men killed during WWII. Sergeant Spatz's plane went down in General Doolittle's 1942 Tokyo Raid, and later Spatz was executed by the Japanese.
