GRAVEL BIKING

Gravel Biking from El Dorado

El Dorado, KS | Butler County
Go your own pace to see the countryside on these well-planned gravel routes. Maps and detailed ride cards are provided online.

The 53-mile Golden Loop route begins in downtown El Dorado, takes you past El Dorado Lake and into the Flint Hills.

The Ghost Town route is an 18-mile route that takes you to Stapleton No. 1 (where oil was first discovered in the region) and through the abandoned oil field worker town of Oil Hill.

The 59-mile Wine About It Loop follows gravel roads to Grace Hill Winery, outside of Whitewater. After a leisure break at the winery a different route will bring you back to El Dorado via farmland with creeks and cemeteries as highlights.

Half of the 14-mile Dam Slam Loop is paved but it will take you to a gravel road along the top of the El Dorado Dam for great views of the lake.
