HISTORIC STRUCTURE

Grant, Sherman, and Sheridan Halls

Fort Leavenworth, KS | Leavenworth County

Named for Generals Ulysses Grant, William Sherman, and Philip Sheridan, the halls reflect how deeply Fort Leavenworth is steeped in rich military history. Sherman and Sheridan Halls were built in 1859 as ordnance storehouses. Later they served as the first Command and General Staff College. The 1908 domed clock tower (repaired in 2010) and Grant Hall unite Sherman and Sheridan Halls.
