From the Kansas-Nebraska line to the K-7 and K-92 junction in Leavenworth, this 63-mile drive takes you through the beautiful and rolling Glacial Hills region. Bluffs often border one side of the road while the river or cropland in the flood plain line the other. A glacial deposit left the large red rocks (quartzite). Towns you'll pass are some of the oldest in Kansas, and the architecture and historic sites are evidence of our state's early days. Historic routes through the area include that of Lewis and Clark and the Pony Express.
