Located in Finnup Park this modern waterslide complex completed inn 2020 was once known far and wide as The Big Pool. The block-and-a-half-sized swimming pool was so big that a boat once pulled a water skier through its waters! Hand dug with local labor in 1922; it held 2.5 million gallons of water. The restored WPA bathhouse still stands and is brightly painted. An exhibit at the Historical Museum tells more of the pool's amazing history or click here to learn more. Admission charge. The Big Pool in its original footprint (see third photo in gallery) is a finalist in the 8 Wonders of Kansas Customs category.
