HISTORY

Fouch Family Cabin

Longton, KS | Elk County

Between Nemaha and Montgomery on the north side of U.S. 160 the crude cabin built of railroad ties in 1944 housed the 10-member Fouch family. Water was carried in by buckets from a well and meals were cooked on a wood stove until the late 1960s.
