You'll see first-class exhibits at this destination museum about area paleontology; the American Indian connection; and how Wild Bill Hickok, George Custer, and Buffalo Bill Cody put their stamps on the fort's history. A second gallery displays an impressive collection of American Indian and military artifacts amid the striking artwork of western and wildlife artist Jerry Thomas. Visitors can also stroll down a three-quarter scale street facade of the fort and early Wallace. There are over 60 reed organ's from the Dick and Bernice Rhea collection. The museum complex includes the 1865 Pond Creek stagecoach station (NRHP), the Weskan depot, a pioneer and agricultural equipment shed, and the 1888 Bethany Lutheran Church.
