Farmington Cemetery

Macksville, KS | Stafford County

"Lest We Forget" is inscribed on a gray granite marker that remembers veterans of the Civil War, Spanish American War, and WWI. Nearby, the back of Patricia Wood's red granite gravestone offers these wise words, 'Life is like a piano. What you get out of it depends on how you play it". What you get out of it depends on how you play it. The stone's front is engraved "Patricia L. Wood, 1948-2012, Mother of Timber & Drift." Several years ago Today did a segment on unique names, and Timber Wood and Drift Wood enjoyed their few minutes of fame.
