You may notice all the outhouses around Elk Falls, but you haven't seen anything until you see them all dressed up! The Elk Falls open house and Outhouse Festival happens the Friday and Saturday before Thanksgiving, and you must see it to believe it! The town's outhouses are decorated with quirky and creative themes. Not only is this wonderful fun, but it's a great opportunity to visit the world's largest living ghost town (Elk Falls) in the heart of the Kansas Ozarks. If you miss the event, stop at Elk Falls Pottery, 1954 US-160, and ask to see the three decorated privies in Outhouse Grove.
