Started in 1937 when it was one mile east of the Wichita city limits, this town is now surrounded by Wichita'the only city in Kansas completely surrounded by another city. Its main entrance is on the west side, entering on Douglas from Woodlawn. As you drive the half mile east before entering Wichita again, don't exceed the 20 mph speed limit. Urban legend has it that it's a famous speed trap. Although only four-tenths of a square mile in size, this is one of the wealthiest cities in the state and features beautiful homes and landscaping.
