Built in 1922, this Modern Eclecticism structure features marble walls and staircases. Stand at the center of the first floor and look up to see the beautiful stained-glass ceiling above the third floor. A UH-1H Huey helicopter flown by a Kansas pilot is stationed on the courthouse square. Nearby are a granite wall inscribed with the names of all 777 Kansans who lost their lives in Vietnam, flags of the five military branches, a POW-MIA flag, Kansas flag, and American flag. (NRHP)
