Coronado Statue

A bronze statue of Francisco VÃ¡zquez de Coronado by sculptor Eldon Tefft stands in front of the visitor information center. The nearby marker recounts Coronado's quest for gold in this area in 1541, and although disappointed in that search, he was impressed with the land itself.
