From I-70 exit 197, 3 ¾ miles south on E. K-10 to Clinton Lake exit, then just west. Created in 1977 by damming the Wakarusa River, the reservoir was built for flood control, recreation, and water supply. One of the best boating lakes in the state, it is surrounded by more than 60 miles of trails for hiking, biking, and horseback riding. All recreational opportunities are available. State park entrance charge. Cabins available, reservations required.
